WordPress VPS Linux
WordPress VPS - performance & complete freedom
Deploy WordPress on a KVM Linux VPS with Nginx, PHP-FPM and SSD. Faster, more secure and more flexible than shared hosting. Paris datacenter, Anti-DDoS included.
Pricing and specifications updated on 3 November 2026
Optimised Nginx + PHP-FPM
A modern server stack for WordPress. TTFB < 200ms, with no configuration limits.
Far faster SSD storage
WordPress pages load very fast, far faster than a conventional hard drive. MySQL database on pure SSD.
Full root access
WP-CLI, Composer, system plugins, PHP cron: full control of your WordPress stack.
Anti-DDoS 1 Tbit/s
Automatic protection against attacks on your WordPress site.
VPS vs shared hosting for WordPress
On shared hosting, PHP, RAM and CPU resources are shared between hundreds of sites. Your WordPress site slows down when an overloaded neighbour consumes everything - and you have no access to the PHP configuration, none to WP-CLI, and no way to install system tools. A VPS gives you dedicated RAM, optimised Nginx, PHP-FPM with reserved pools and full root access.
With the OmegaCloud KVM Linux VPS, SSD storage and the Telehouse Paris Magny (TH3) datacenter, you get an optimal TTFB for your visitors and complete compatibility with WooCommerce, WordPress Multisite and headless architectures. Anti-DDoS 1 Tbit/s is included in every plan at no extra cost.

Frequently asked questions about the WordPress VPS
What you need to know before deploying WordPress on a Linux VPS.
On shared hosting, PHP, RAM and CPU resources are shared with hundreds of other sites. Your WordPress site slows down as soon as a neighbour uses too much. On an OmegaCloud Linux VPS you get dedicated KVM resources: guaranteed RAM, PHP-FPM with reserved workers and full root access. Performance is up to 10x higher.
For a blog or a brochure site, 4 GB (the Start plan) is enough. For WooCommerce with active plugins, 8 GB (the Medium plan) is recommended. For WordPress Multisite or heavy traffic, 16 GB (the Pro plan). Those figures cover PHP-FPM, MySQL, the Redis cache and a safety margin.
Nginx is our recommendation for WordPress. It serves static files faster, handles simultaneous connections better and uses less memory than Apache. Set Nginx up as a reverse proxy in front of PHP-FPM 8.3 for the best performance.
Yes, full root SSH access lets you install and use WP-CLI. Update WordPress, manage your extensions, import and export the database, all from the command line. Ideal for automation and maintenance.
Install a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate (certbot), set up a UFW firewall so that only ports 80, 443 and SSH are exposed, use fail2ban against brute-force attacks on wp-login.php, and enable WordPress automatic updates. Our Anti-DDoS 1 Tbit/s covers volumetric attacks.
Yes, every caching plugin works. WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache are supported. You can also install Redis or Memcached directly on your VPS (root access) for a persistent object cache.
Our support team guides you through migrating your WordPress site: exporting the database, transferring the files over FTP or SFTP, reconfiguring DNS. Downtime is usually under 15 minutes.
Yes, through WordPress Multisite or by creating several Nginx virtual host configurations pointing to different folders. On a Pro plan (16 GB) you can comfortably run 5 to 20 medium-sized WordPress sites.
